IN THE ZONE

A MIND-BODY APPROACH TO
DEVELOP A WELL-ROUNDED ATHELETE

No standing on your head or twisting abilities required! Just the desire to become a better athlete! A refreshing and dynamic new way to improve physical and mental skills through flowing sequences of movement, breathing and relaxation. Using a skill-related approach to the sport, the young athlete will experience the benefits of mind-body training while increasing his/her ability to focus, relax and visualize attaining his/her goals while improving athletic performance.

BENEFITS

  1. Increases flexibility: flexibility of the body by loosening muscles and flexibility of the mind by "loosening" the stress and thoughts to better adapt to situations

  2. Develops core strength: very important in life and all sports. Static and flowing poses involving different muscle types and different contractions of the muscles

  3. Promotes balance: physical balance and mental balance for a grounded approach to competition

  4. Helps prevent repetitive-stress injuries and speeds up recovery as athletes become more aware of their bodies and the postures train the muscles and tendons to stabilize the joints

  5. Improves mental focus and mental endurance due to yoga's approach to concentration and breath awareness.so you can be IN THE ZONE

  6. Integration of body, breath, mind which helps to stay focused and calm under pressure

  7. Excellent cross-training for athletes who practice the same skills and sports on a regular basis, awakens the body and the mind to different sensations transferable in other sports. It can also help relieve training boredom.
